“CYBORGS IN THE SUPPORT PLAN”

These children are border crossers – between diagnosis and selfhood, between support plan and freedom. Their portraits reject what Donna Haraway calls “the tyranny of categories”: they are neither “problem cases” nor “objects of inspiration”, but living contradictions.

Sloterdijk would say: they exercise immunity against a system that wants to capture them. Benjamin would see the aura of the unsortable in their gazes. We simply see: humanity that cannot be managed.

“This series is not a plea for inclusion, but an archaeology of the categories we need in order to think about inclusion at all.”
